VERY RARE - Turkish Wall gun Miquelet
A massive example, the hexagonal butt carved of a single section of actively-burled wood, the walnut stock embellished with a large number of fretted and engraved brass appliqués involving baroque themes. Miquelet-type lock struck with gilt maker’s mark, the fine octagonal Turkish-twist damascus barrel with prominent ogival rear sight, with scrolled borders and pierced for seven trajectories, with raised, chiseled panels at the breach and muzzle, and struck with a maker’s mark..Source & Copyright: Historical Arms & Armor
